Bottle Cooler

ANKE’s Bottle Cooler holds bottled drinks at 0C to +8C behind heated glass doors, with a mirrored 304 stainless steel interior and 6500K LED lighting so the product actually reads from across the bar. One door (BC-1), two door (BC-2), or three door (BC-3), all 850mm high and 520mm deep to fit under a back bar.

ANKE builds the Bottle Cooler in three widths on one platform: 600mm, 900mm, or 1350mm. All three are 520mm deep and 850mm high, so they sit under a standard back bar, and all three hold 0C to +8C behind heated glass doors.
Solid doors and painted door and grill finishes to any RAL number are available in place of glass.

Quick Decision

Not sure how many doors fit behind your bar?

Why This Matters

What Happens When A Back Bar Cooler Was Not Built For A Humid Bar

A bottle cooler has two jobs at once. It has to hold drinks cold, and it has to sell them. A unit that does the first but fails the second is only doing half its work, and in a warm humid bar the second job is the one that fails first.

Condensation on the glass

When the outer pane drops below the dew point of the room, water forms on it. The guest can no longer see the product and the bar staff spend the night wiping glass.

Dark or badly lit shelves

If a guest cannot read the label from where they are standing, the unit is storage rather than merchandising, and impulse selling stops.

Warm bottles on the top shelf

Poor air distribution leaves the top of the cabinet several degrees warmer than the bottom, so the first bottles reached for are the least cold.

Rear breathing in a tight bar

A unit that vents at the back and is pushed tight against the bar structure re-breathes its own hot air and short cycles.

Why ANKE

Why Choose The ANKE Bottle Cooler

ANKE has manufactured commercial refrigeration in the UAE since 1997. The Bottle Cooler is the only front of house unit in the refrigeration range, so it is built around visibility as much as around temperature: heated glass, a mirrored interior, and 6500K LED lighting.

Engineering Insight

Why The Glass Is Heated, And Why That Matters More In Dubai Than In London

A bottle cooler holds its inside at 0C to +8C. On the other side of that glass, a busy bar can sit at 24C with humidity pushed up by door traffic, guests, and the kitchen. Whenever the outer surface of the glass falls below the dew point of the room air, water condenses on it. The colder the inside and the more humid the room, the faster it fogs. Heated glass doors hold the outer pane just above that dew point so the glass stays clear. On a unit whose purpose is to be looked at, that is not a comfort feature. It is the difference between merchandising and storage.

Heated glass doors

Keep the outer pane above the dew point of the room, so the glass stays clear in humid conditions instead of fogging over during service.

Anti-condensation door frame heaters

Stop water forming and pooling on the frame around the glass, which is where condensation usually shows first.

Mirrored 304 stainless interior

Bounces the LED light back through the bottles, so the shelves read brighter and fuller from across the room.

Front breathing and venting

Air enters and exits at the front, so the cooler can sit tight under a back bar without needing a clearance gap behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a bottle cooler?
It is a back bar refrigerator built to hold bottled drinks at 0C to +8C behind glass, so the product is both cold and visible to the guest. The ANKE unit is 850mm high and 520mm deep to fit under a standard back bar.
An under counter chiller is solid door refrigerated storage with a stainless worktop, built for back of house. A bottle cooler is a front of house merchandising unit, with heated glass doors, a mirrored interior, and LED lighting so the product sells itself.
Because a cold surface in a warm humid room collects condensation. Heating the outer pane keeps it just above the dew point of the room air, so the glass stays clear and the guest can still see the product during a busy service.
Yes. Solid doors are available as an option, as is a painted door and grill finish to any RAL number if the unit needs to match the bar joinery.
They are the same cabinet in three widths. BC-1 is 600mm with one door, 2 shelves, and 120 litres. BC-2 is 900mm with two doors, 4 shelves, and 190 litres. BC-3 is 1350mm with three doors, 6 shelves, and 295 litres. All three are 520mm deep and 850mm high.
What temperature range does the ANKE Bottle Cooler hold?
It holds 0C to +8C and is rated for 43C ambient.
BC-1 has 2 shelves, BC-2 has 4, and BC-3 has 6. Each section takes a maximum of 3 shelf positions at 100mm spacing. The shelves are adjustable perforated 304G stainless steel.
All three models are 850mm high and 520mm deep. Only the width changes: 600mm, 900mm, or 1350mm.
All three models are rated Energy Efficiency Class E. Annual consumption is 558.5 kWh for BC-1 and 664.3 kWh for both BC-2 and BC-3. Glass door units use more energy than solid door units because glass insulates less well than an insulated panel.
It runs on R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential of 3.
The glass is fogging up. What should I check?
First check that the door frame heaters and glass heating are actually powered, then check that the door is closing and sealing fully, then look at how humid the bar has become. Persistent fogging on a heated glass door usually points to a power or seal issue rather than the room.
Check and clean the front grill and condenser every 1 to 3 months. A back bar unit sits in a busy service area and the front grill picks up dust and lint quickly.
A small difference between shelves is normal in any cabinet, but a large one usually means the unit is overloaded, the shelves are packed so tightly that air cannot circulate, or the door is being held open a lot during peak. Leave space between rows so cold air can move.
The unit uses spotless LED lighting at 6500K. Replacement and servicing should be arranged through ANKE, and the ANKE team can advise on parts.
Which model should I choose?
Measure the run available under your back bar first: 600mm, 900mm, or 1350mm. If the run is longer than 1350mm, a combination of widths usually fits better than one custom unit.
Yes. A painted door and grill finish to any RAL number is available as an option.
Warranty terms are confirmed at the time of quotation. Contact the ANKE team for current warranty details.
Send your back bar run length and whether you want glass or solid doors by WhatsApp, the quote form on this page, or by phone. ANKE confirms the model and options, manufactures the unit in the UAE, and delivers to your site with handover support.
